Once Innovations is playing a major role in educating consumers
on LED lighting

PLYMOUTH, MN USA – Visitors to this year’s Eco Experience exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair are educating themselves on the benefits of LED lighting thanks to LED technology developer Once Innovations (ONCE). The Minnesota-based company is the exclusive sponsor of energy efficient lighting for Green Street, a neighborhood built right inside Eco Experience, which is a joint project of the Minnesota State Fair and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

“We put our resources, time, and expertise into this worthwhile project, because it’s a terrific forum to help educate the public,” said Zdenko Grajcar, CEO of ONCE. “Too many companies have over promised and under delivered when it comes to LED lighting. We want to give people the information they need to make decisions about new lighting options that will give them energy savings, quality illumination, and lasting performance.”

The goal of Eco Experience is to encourage the public to buy more green products and services, support Minnesota businesses that produce green products, and help visitors act on environmental knowledge to promote healthy ecosystems.

Green Street represents a neighborhood similar to the one fairgoers live in today and demonstrates what practical changes can be made to make their homes healthier for the environment and healthier for those who live in them. ONCE is providing their own branded LED lamps and fixtures as well as those from manufacturing partners to demonstrate the wide variety of lighting choices available for interior, exterior, and landscape applications.

“Being a leader in LED technology development gives us the opportunity to also lead the way in educating consumers,” added John Moody, ONCE V.P. of Marketing & Brand Development. “An educated public leads to more eco-friendly practices and creates more opportunities for everyone.”

Eco Experience is located in the Progress Building on Randall Avenue near the intersection of Cooper Street. The Minnesota State Fair runs from August 26 to September 6.
